Hotel and Transport Links

Hotels

A range of differently price hotel bedrooms, including at the conference and exhibition venue the Britannia Adelphi, were held for Hydro8 delegates by the booking agency, The Merseyside Partnership.

The hotel booking service is now closed. Some rooms are still available, but we understand that they are now in short supply. You will now have to make your own arrangements.

We recomend www.visitliverpool.com as a good starting point.

Budget Accommodation

We recommend that Individuals or University Groups hoping to attend, reserve budget rooms now.  The Hotel Booking Service link above has a booking link for the International Inn Hostel.  There is also a YHA in the centre of Liverpool.

Transport

Liverpool is easily accessible by air, road, rail or ferry. There are flights to Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport from many UK, European and international gateways. The airport is just a few miles south east of the city centre which can be accessed via a regular bus service. There are also regular rail and coach services from Manchester Airport. The city has excellent motorway connections and its Liverpool Lime Street railway station is well-served from major UK stations. By sea there are ferry links from Dublin, Belfast and the Isle of Man.

Some of the web site links for travel to Liverpool are listed below.  Additional travel options and travel companies are available.
