"We required an inexpensive way in which to recruit a Field Survey Manager for its Bathymetric LiDAR operations. Having tried the various 'body shops' and industry contacts a decision was made to contact The Hydrographic Society and place an advert on their website.  Not only was the advert placed quickly, the cost of advertising in this way also proved very cost-effective. Importantly however, we soon received a number of highly-relevant applications from the advertisement and within a month had successfully appointed a suitably experienced and qualified person to the post. Taking everything into consideration this recruitment method worked exceptionally for Blom Aerofilms; we were not inundated with CVs from agencies and managed to fill our vacancy at a fraction of the cost of the traditional advertising route.  We have no hesitation in recommending The Hydrographic Society website as a first-class method to recruit specialist Bathymetric and Hydrographic staff."
