The main presentation will be preceded by a 10-minute presentation by Rob Baker from Briggs Marine.

The talk will demonstrate that man-made noise in the ocean is increasing and there are major concerns over the likely impact of this noise on the marine environment. The presentation will consider natural noise sources in the ocean including natural sounds as well as the many sounds from various forms of marine life. Trends in the increase of noise in the ocean from shipping and other man made sources will be discussed and the potential impact on the marine life in the oceans. 

Roy Wyatt will be bringing a sound system along.
