We are actively seeking a Hydrographic Survey Tender Engineer to join Next Geosolutions, a marine survey and offshore construction support company who provide services worldwide in the Energy, Infrastructure & Utilities markets.

Next Geosolutions mission is to provide integrated services, both on land and at sea, to support the entire lifetime of our Client’s projects and assets, establishing ourselves as an independent, QHSE mindful and technology driven contractor.

They are currently involved with and have a number of projects scheduled over the next few years which include Geophysical, Hydrographic and Construction support and positioning surveys for the subsea cables, renewables and oil and gas markets.

Key Role:

This person will be responsible for the preparation and submission of quotations and proposals, under the guidance and advise of the Tender Manager and/or Commercial Director, in accordance with the Company’s management system and guidelines.

The candidates are required to be familiar with the general specifications and market requirements of the marine survey & positioning services, which will include geophysical , UXO and geotechnical surveying, and/or offshore construction support services. Ideally, the candidates should have wide experience of offshore survey operations and at least two (2) years of experience in tendering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine tender documentation, including operational provisions, technical specifications and commercial requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers, partners and all internal departments involved in the tendering process and define respective deliverables.
  • Define/propose technical solutions, methodologies, execution strategy and draft work schedules.
  • Perform cost calculations and project budgeting.
  • Prepare and submit the technical & commercial proposals, according to Client requirements and Company’s guidelines.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with the Client throughout the entire bid cycle.
  • Produce reports and maintain complete records throughout the bidding process to ensure approval, traceability and ultimately efficient handover to project teams.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Degree and/or proven experience in Marine Surveying, Hydrography or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in marine surveying and/or offshore construction support activities.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in tendering activities related to offshore surveying/operations.
  • Ability to efficiently work in a team and collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written).
  • Rigorous to ensure adherence to the Tendering procedures.
  • Committed to the highest level of confidentiality and loyalty.
  • Ability to take an overall view and critical mind.
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines;
  • Solid communication and negotiation skills
