We are recruiting for a Reports Coordinator to join Next Geosolutions, a marine survey and offshore construction support company who provide services worldwide in the Energy, Infrastructure & Utilities markets.

Next Geosolutions mission is to provide integrated services, both on land and at sea, to support the entire lifetime of our Client’s projects and assets, establishing ourselves as an independent, QHSE mindful and technology driven contractor.

They are currently involved with and have a number of projects scheduled over the next few years which include Geophysical, Hydrographic and Construction support and positioning surveys for the subsea cables, renewables and oil and gas markets.

Key Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reports Coordinator to join the company in Norwich, UK, working within the offshore team.

As a key member of the Survey team, you will be responsible for the coordination and report production required offshore, ensuring the data acquired and processed is sufficient in terms of quality, scope and coverage.

You will have recent experience with hydrographic acquisition and processing including interpretation and reporting with a focus on QC

Organisation:

  • During your time offshore you will be working closely with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Surveyors, Survey Engineers, Geophysicists, Party Chief, and Data Processors, Geotechnical engineers and operators as well as the marine crew. You will ensure all survey data being produced is collected and stored efficiently and accurately. You will communicate regularly survey team onboard and onshore teams when required and report into the Party Chief.
  • Offshore experience on a range of survey projects and able to work offshore for circa 180 days per year.
  • The ability to work in and preserve a safe environment for yourself and your colleagues. This company promotes a proactive attitude to safe working practices.

Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Responsible for the production of high quality reports associated with the positioning and data produced during operations.
  • Ensure the log book is kept updated during the operations taking care that all the operations carried out are well reported with timing and descriptions.
  • Quality control of survey data ensuring what is produced meet customer and contractual specifications, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and project objectives are met on time.
  • You will need to be familiar and have experience with common positioning systems and data sensors, (GPS, USBL, HiPAP, GYRO, DVL, MBES, SSS, SBP) and also navigation / processing software package(s) (Hydro, QINSy, PDS2000, etc.);

Essential:

  • Current and valid offshore medical certificate;
  • Current and valid offshore survival certificate;
  • Good English Communication skills;
  • Over 5 years + experience working within a Survey team offshore.
  • Qualification in appropriate survey-related subject or recognized technician qualification or approved military service qualification.
  • An excellent communicator (verbally and written) and able to form good working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Disciplined, self-motivated and flexible team player.
  • Able to work flexible hours, travel when required and work offshore.
  • Must live within a reasonable distance of a major airport.
  • Proficient in the use of at least one online survey software package.
  • A strong understanding of the principles of real-time positioning, data acquisition and data QC., with specific experience in geophysical and hydrographic survey processing, interpretation and / or reporting.
  • Excellent IT literacy, including experience of Microsoft Office;
  • Attention to detail, QA and safety.
