IFHS hosts workshop at Oceans 19

13 May 2019

This year Oceans 19 is partnering with the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies (IFHS) to gather the whole Blue Community together in Marseille, France.

In the run-up to World Hydrography Day (WHD) 2019, IFHS will host a one-day workshop dedicated to hydrography on Monday 17th June.

The workshop aims to highlight hydrographic expertise and challenges through an interesting programme addressing topics such as survey standards, crowdsourced bathymetry, data rescue, capacity building, hydrographic education and individual certification.

The workshop will also celebrate the newest entrants to the profession with the official announcement of, and presentations by, the winners of the prestigious IFHS Student Award for 2018 and 2019.

Further information about the IFHS workshop programme and other relevant details will be published at https://www.oceans19mtsieeemarseille.org/ifhs/ over the coming weeks.

Registration for the Oceans 19 programme includes access to the IFHS Workshop. However, registration for the IFHS Workshop only is also available.

All members of all IFHS Societies are entitled to a special discounted fee. Please contact your own national society to obtain your discount code.
