Interactive real time multibeam demonstrations from the comfort of your living room

18 May 2020

NORBIT Subsea, during the COVID-19 lockdown situation have taken an innovative approach to ensuring clients realise pre sales expectations by inviting clients to a live real time interactive multibeam system demo. By sailing with NORBIT on a live survey vessel, using multiple video cameras and remote screen controls, clients can experience real survey work whilst also gaining the opportunity to interact with expert hydrographers as they conduct the survey mobilisation and data collection. John Fraser from NORBIT UK comments “This interactive demo, has allowed clients to understand the iWBMS system leading performance and the additional benefits of NORBIT such as the power of our Data Collection Tool software. We wish users to have a dynamic realistic experience, which is something that marketing orientated slides shows seminars cannot bring”. Open to all prospective clients globally, in the first week of operation the demos have proved exceptionally popular. After years of going on vessels, now being able to sit at home remaining safe during COVID-19 lockdown. and experience the drama and excitement of live survey operations is a first for many surveyors.
